Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Accountant to immediately join the GHA Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and creative individual with a strong ability to generate new and productive ideas. You will play a pivotal role in managing collections, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Excellent English business communication skills are a must for this role. The position reports to the Finance Director and is based in the GHA Dubai
office.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve employee reimbursement claims, addressing any issues with concerned staff.

Actively participate in the invoicing and reporting of various revenue streams.

Respond to customer and internal queries promptly.

Accurate recording and matching of invoice payments, with routine bank reconciliations.

Follow-up with clients on discrepancies, open balances, and overdue amounts with account statements via emails and phone calls.

Accounts Payable support, vendor bills review and booking after matching with approved purchase orders.

Monthly tracking and recording of revenue & expense accruals.
-
Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and other general ledger accounts.
-
Participate in credit meetings and actively engage in chasing outstanding payments.

Manage VAT accounting and maintain all necessary supporting information for tax audits.

Prepare AR, aging, collections, and cash flow reports, as requested.

Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and share insights and trends.

Update information in databases to ensure accuracy and relevancy.

Organize and archive accounting documents systematically.

Create, document, and maintain processes to manage activities within the Finance department through platforms such as Confluence.

Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes.

Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from theNetSuite ERP.

Contribute to financial and tax audits by providing verified information and reporting as needed.

Engage in team training and continuous professional development.

Adhere to personal KPIs and goals and participate in periodic performance reviews.
Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline from an accredited University.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), bookkeeping, reconciliations, and credit control.

Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws and accounting.

Advanced knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and equivalent G-Suite products.

Experience working with accounting software is mandatory, with Oracle NetSuite ERP experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail, organized and possess good analytical and logical skills.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English with excellent business communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.

Excellent information retention, attentiveness, tact and diplomacy in dealing with stakeholders.

Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.

Travel, leisure, or hospitality industry, or loyalty platforms experience would be advantageous.
